Makerere University

Our collaboration with Makerere University led to the pioneering establishment of the African Centers of Excellence in Bioinformatics and Data Intensive Sciences.

This ambitious project was made possible by forging a public-private partnership with over 60 stakeholders, including academic institutions, government bodies, and industry leaders. Our role encompassed strategic planning, stakeholder coordination, and the integration of advanced technological tools such as VR and data visualization into the curriculum and research methodologies.

This initiative not only positioned Makerere University at the forefront of bioinformatics and data science education in Africa but also created a blueprint for international collaboration in research and education.

The successful launch of the center marked a significant milestone in the advancement of bioinformatics and data-intensive sciences across the continent, demonstrating the power of partnership and innovation in transforming educational and research landscapes.
